On November 15, 2018 the discussion between Deputy Minister of Finances Serhiy Verlanov and members of the United State-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) – heads of American companies employed in Ukraine, and heads of Ukrainian companies, who have strong business relations with US business. Alexander Minin, Senior Partner at , participated in this meeting on behalf of Presidium member. Morgan Williams, the president of United States-Ukraine Business Council, moderated the meeting.
During the meeting the following issues were discussed: a new program of cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF, peculiarities of the state budget for 2019 and implementation of medium-term budget planning, new laws and programs for improvement of business climate in Ukraine. Members of discussion paid special attention to the problem of reforming the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and tax militia, covering the point of implementation the fiscal investigation service. According to Serhiy Verlanov, the state’s approach to reforming the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine is based on two major principles: the reform shall not influence the continuity of budget revenues and nothing can be changed immediately. The meeting was a fruitful discussion the government’s representatives and business.
