The Tax&Business Talks First Tax Forum, the outstanding event in taxation, was held on November 24, 2017. became the initiator and the general partner of the event. The leading lawyers, attorneys at law, judges, tax officials, deputies and other government representatives focused on the important current tax issues.
Senior Partner at Alexander Minin was the moderator of the first session dedicated to VAT and exit capital tax. Alexander noted the necessity to think on way of development and measures to be taken in this regard. In Mr. Minin’s opinion the amendments on practice can precede the legislation amendments due to the existence of other instruments.
Mariia Kozlenko, Of Counsel, Attorney at Law at , delivered the report in the session related to tax disputes. Mariia noted status of the actual tax disputes in the context of the discrepancy in theoretical realization of fact and means in question, terms of cases consideration and judgments execution.
Ivan Shynkarenko, Ph.D. in Economics, Head of customs law and transfer pricing practice at , delivered the report in transfer pricing session. Ivan analyzed the peculiarities of defense of tax payers in TP disputes, particularly types, order of appeal, defense peculiarities and possible arguments.
Antonina Gorodetska, Senior of Counsel at , Chairman of the Tax Committee of the UAA, completed session on “Criminal liability for taxes” and consequently the whole forum with her report. Antonina told about the tax audits within criminal proceedings, provided examples of appeal and court practice.
